Good evening. I am new to your list. For family reasons the Dorset TRENCHARD's particularly interest me. However to date, I have been unsuccessful in tracing the strong link which connected the Trenchard and NOTLEY families. I presume it was a 19th. century marriage, but cannot trace the event. I will guess that whatever brought these two families together, it took place within West & North Dorset - Southampton - Bristol - South Somerset. I have several items of hand written NOTLEY material with the following signatures. Charles Notley[1799], William Notley["1867 at Batcombe], William Notley ["born 1840"] F.J. Notley[1878]. In spite of these pointers I have not been able to plot these Notleys within a family group which links to the Trenchards. Ideas,clues and help will be appreciated. Alec Palmer.
