Hi Jayne Ummm, yes, not first time and only with a bit of fiddling around: once I input the batch no eg C074101 for East St Independent, Beaminster, Dorset and Selected "British Isles" it asked for a name: similarly when I selected the country "England" it did the same, and again when I selected "Dorset" I received the same response BUT when I changed country to read "All countries" it worked OK. Make sure that when you start you use a batch number that you know works and has data, otherwise you can get a result with a nil return and may think it still isn't working :-)) Then once you've got it working - hopefully - substitute the new batch numbers you want to look at. It looks as if, following the update of the site, there is a bit a bit of a glitch in the java script? I'm using Internet Explorer Ver 5.50. Regards Paul Portland

    3. Hi Jayne Please ignore my last - I was answering the wrong question - put it down to too many grey hairs - as Pat says go to: http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp And as long as you have a name you should be OK: I was trying to explain how to down load a whole batch without a name :-( and was confusing the issue, but nevertheless handy when you have names with alternate spelling which might not come within the IGI remit! But to answer the question about a browser - you do need an up to date version due to the Javascript that the LDS have now included in the pages.
