Hi there Roger White, Thank you for the enquiry to the name White. My family, "Sherren" are all from the Broadmayne, Dorchester and Weymouth and other parts of Dorset. One of my ancestors was possibly married to a White and the reason is because most of the children have the name White as their middle name. I do not have a definite on this. My William Sherren was born in 1744 in Broadmayne and may have been married to an Alice White(?) who was born unknown but who died in 1808.
