Dear Listers, As a new subscriber, I would like to post my interests. My earliest record of my PARSONS family is the marriage of William Parsons to Sarah TRIPPICK at Sixpenny Handley in August 1754. I have managed to trace the direct line through a son John, who married Jane COOMBES at Hinton Martell in 1790.. The family remained in Hinton Martell until about 1870, when John's grandson, Henry moved to Wimborne St. Giles. By 1881, the family were in Chorley, Lancashire, where my father, who was Henry's grandson, was born in 1905. They appear to have been a fecund family and great survivors, too, as many of them lived into their 70s and 80s. If anyone out in the wide world recognises a little of this story, or has a Parsons anywhere in their trees from that part of the world, that is, East Dorset, South Wiltshire or North-west Hampshire, could they please contact me? There is much to tell and fill in, but it would take too long! Iain Parsons, Brampton, Cumbria, UK.
