Saturday, May 14, 1949 from a Halifax, paper Edith Lucy Mitchell The death occurred yesterday at 32 Cabot St. of Mrs. Edith Mitchell, 65, wife of Charles A. Mitchell. She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. John Newman and was born in Southampton, England, where she resided until coming to Halifax 35 years ago. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the United Church. She is survived by her husband, and three sons, Cecil W., Saint John, Cyril S and Claude L of Halifax. The remains are resting at the family residence 32 Cabot Street where a service will be held Monday at 2 PM. Rev. B. R. Tupper will officiate.
