    3. Hi Everyone: I am doing a favor for a friend who is trying to locate a town in England called Birdsall. I have done very little research in England and was not sure how to go about locating this town. Any advice appreciated. Debbie

    3. Hi Debbie It's a village in rural North Yorkshire: if you have a look at: http://www.streetmap.co.uk/ input the name and click on UK Place you should be able to see it! Also if you click on the Old Maps tag-line at the bottom of this page and following the links in your IE to Birdsall, Yorkshire you can see a map for 1855 and will be able to relate the features of then and now. If you go to the following URL you will find subscription details for at least 2 mailing lists which have North Yorkshire interests: http://www.rootsweb.com/~jfuller/gen_mail_country-unk.html Regards Paul Portland On Wed, 28 Feb 2001 08:57:30 -0500, you wrote: >Hi Everyone: > >I am doing a favor for a friend who is trying to locate a town in England called Birdsall.
