    3. Hello List The Free Census Project aims to transcribe the UK 19th century census returns and create an online 'free-to-view' database open to all. It has just stepped up a gear and is now transcribing the 1891 returns for Bedfordshire, Cornwall, Devon, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. Other projects starting shortly include Surrey, Durham, London(Bethnal Green & St Pancras), Hampshire and Lancashire. If you would like to transcribe for the project, all you need is a computer and access to a microfiche reader. Everything else, including microfiche, software and lots of help, is provided by Free Census. If you would like to organise a county or part of a county for the project we would be very pleased to welcome you on board. An organiser recruits and supervises a team of volunteers. You get masses of help from the project. This project is designed to appeal to the world-wide online family history community. Please help us.
