Just a warning about relying on Trade directories, etc for exact dates of residence. My grandfather was still recorded as living in Frome (where he was a registrar) for at least two years after he had moved to London to work with the St Pancras Board of Guardians. Similarly, I have a relative recorded as commanding a vessel in the Navy List several years after the same boat had been sunk. Another relative who was a consul in China retired at 60, died age 85, but still appeared in the Foreign Office Lists until he would have been 111 years old ! So be careful.
