    3. Brian I forwarded a message regarding Oxfordshire FHS activities to the list this morning. I received an off-list reply from someone whom I won't name with an attachment called :- news_doc.scr I was suspicious, as it seemed to be a .scr file dressed up to appear to be a Word document. My free anti-virus software, Inoculate IT, which can be downloaded from the web, identified this as a virus which I safely deleted. Inoculate IT is produced by Computer associates, the fifth biggest computer software producer in the world. It can be downloaded free of charge from :- www.antivirus.cai.com It hasn't let me down so far ! 3. Hi, Can I just stop any panic by explaining that Brian means (or he should :>) that he did NOT actually get the virus as an attachment from THE MAILING LIST ITSELF. This CANNOT happen. You cannot send any attachments to any mailing list at Rootsweb and therefore you cannot receive any. What's happened to Brian is that someone from this or any other mailing list he belongs to, has his email address in their address book. The virus - which in this case looks like a worm - then sends itself out to everyone on this poor person's pc. Check your systems and visit www.download.com for cleaners etc. These things happen - but don't panic!
