Hi all, I've received some information concerning an ancestor and the occupation listed is "tyler and plasterer". I assume "tyler" must have something to do with roofing but what is more interesting is the name of my ancestor is TAYLOR. I'm wondering if perhaps there is some connection between the occupation and the last name --that is -could the word "tyler" have become "taylor" over time? Any comments appreciated.
