Hi Jean I never thought that I would find anyone else researching HUSSEYs in Somerset. Although I cannot make any connection yet, I have a HUSSEY family in Bristol in 1881 census and the father George gave his birthplace as Holler Somerset. There is (as far as I know) no such place in Somerset so I am pinning my hopes on Aller, Somerset. In 1881 there were 146 HUSSEYs in Somerset, 304 in Dorset, 80 in Wiltshire, 172 in Gloucestershire but only 1 Adam in the whole lot. I had a quick check for STRODE, Mary and came up with this as a possible. The only others were a Mary Jane born 1852 (a bit too old) and a Mary A. born 1872.
