Hello All I'm interested in the SMITH name in Bratton and I have Henry SMITH who was married at least twice possibly three times. In 1841 he married Elizabeth SCOTT the daughter of William SCOTT. Henry SMITH was born about 1797 the son of John SMITH. In 1851 their household included Charles age 9, Ann 7, Alfred Henry 6, Stephen 5 and John 4. Charles married Sarah Elizabeth CHAPP in 1867 the daughter of William CHAPP. I would be interested in hearing from anyone with an interest in these names. In 1881 half brothers John 1874 and Arthur 1877 CLARK were living in Edington with their grandparents John and Ann NEWMAN. The sons of John CLARK. Arthur's mother Eliza CLARK nee MOORE born 1851, a widow, was working as a servant also in Edington. By 1891 Eliza had married again to a Mr ALLEY and was living in Northleaze with step children Walter Sydney 13, John Major 11, and children Albert Thomas 5, Alfred Charles 4 and Ethel May eight months. Arthur CLARK married Alice Louisa NEWLAND in 1897, Alice was the daughter of William and Sarah NEWLAND and her siblings were Frederick 1881, Rosina 1887 and Ellen 1890. Regards Jill
