Hi Rod: I am new at geneaology and am not sure how accurate my information is at this point. I have traced back as far as Ranulph Duchet in 1098. His son Nicholas (b1129) spelled his surname Duket. Nicholas' son Richard (b1162) changed the spelling again to Ducket. Richard's son Stephen (b1205) then changed it to Duckett and that is how we spell it to this day. I am in South Carolina, USA. Richard Duckett Sr. came to America in the late 1600's. I have found a few Duckett's born in Wiltshire, Grayrigg, Calston etc. Richard Duckett Sr. was born in London in 1672. Being an American, I am very interested in where my family originated and why they came to America. Lori

However, time marches on and Salisbury has now consumed FA, which now forms the north west suburb of the newer City. Yes, they were brother and sister and moved to Abertillery in Monmouthshire, Lucy married a Tom Evans, my wife's late father, and Fred moved to Doncaster in the slumps and coal shrikes of 1926 and retired to Frome Somerset in the 70s.
