Hi Nancy, Besides the info on Wessnerville, I thought you would be interested in this Family that tells so much about the Germans who settled in this part of Pa. Enjoy. (I added an attached file) Diane Marshall Chapter Three - The Struggles of the Settlers - The Brobst Chronicles
Hey Judy! Nice to here from someone about Mahlon. I can reliably say though, my Mahlon was definitely as WESSNER (and it was spelled that way in the early 1800's. I have everything about him from census info beginning in 1840 and forward from there. It's just his birth, parents and any other relatives that I can't pin down! In my quest I found some interesting info on the Wessner family (and about 21 different variations on the spelling.) Did you know about WESSNERVILLE, Pa.? Diane

Sometimes I get going so fast...the end result is a big boo-boo!! I find the name, Mahlon, very interesting. I have a relative, Mary Jayne Prickett whose grandfather had a son Mahlon Prickett. That's a very unusual name...so I don't know if there is any connection. I thning that Mahlon was Mary Jayne's Uncle. I have had difficulty in determining exactly who is Mary Jayne's father. But I do have Wesner's in the family as I mentioned in my first email. Give me a shout if you have time. Judy

Samuel was christened at the Frieden's Allemangel Union Church. Email me at jemule42@msn.com and we can compare notes, hopefully with good results. Judy

Hi all! Just wanted to give you a last minute reminder about the work days this week. Hope you all received this information at your congregations. We will be at the campgrounds Monday thru Thursday and need as many hands as we can get. If you can only donate one day, come on up! We really need power washers and spray painters for the outsides of the cabins and the lodge. If you have either or can do either, please come help. We will be working on getting the new playground equipment in. If you have been asking for more play equipment or have wanted more equipment in, please come help us install it. (I ordered a bouncey blue whale, a jumpy green frog, two tire swings and a slide.) We will be installing the doors on the chapel that the authorities said we had to have, pouring concrete outside the back chapel exits, rebuilding the trails on the hill that washed out, removing demolished cabins and burning the residue, setting up the flammable liquids storage unit, painting inside cabins, weeding flower beds, washing windows, painting the exterior of the lodge, finishing the rock work on the porch of the lodge and more. The meals and the fellowship at these work days are great! We get alot of work done, but we have a great time also. No matter your skills, we need you. No matter the wheather, we have work we can do. Please come help us! RV sites, lodge and cabin housing is available. Hope to see you there. Best wishes, Carol Fender

I am a great-great granddaughter of John Weisner and Jane McKaughan of North Carolina. For a year now I have tried, to no avail, to sort out the myriad of North Carolina John Weisners (Wesner/Weisner/Weesner/Weasonner in search of conclusive evidence as to the parents of my great-great grandfather. It is my presumption that his parents might be Johannes Wesner and Catharina Ebert. Reportedly there are 11 children of this nion including a (Johannes) John Jr. born 5/5/1789 or 1790 died 2/16/1858 which I believe may be my direct ancestor. Of all of the lines I have researched to date this one has more inconsistencies, obvious errors and dead ends than any of the rest. Forsyth Co. Census 1850 Records John Weisner, age 62 residing with wife Jane and Phebe McKaughan. Note: Neither John Weisner or Jane appear in the Census of 1860 which would be consistent with their respective deaths in 1858 and 1850. North Carolina Marriage Bonds 1. John Weasonner married Jane McCaughhan (s/b McKaughan) - my great great grandmother. Bond Date: 3/25/1844 Guilford Co. 2.John Weesner married Susannah Fagg Bond Date: 12/4/1817 Rowan Co. Note: Possible first wife of my direct ancestor. Susannah Fagg is recorded as having died March 11, 1842 which would allow for this second marriage. Moravian Church - Friedberg Church Register a. Records Catharine Jane Wesner (my great grandmother), born September 25, 1850 to John and Jane Wesner of Pleasant Fork and baptized as an outsider at Friedberg on November 24, 1850. b. Jane Wesmer os recorded as having died in 1850 and was buried as an outsider at Friedberg Moravian. John Wesner is not recorded as buried there. Can anyone help me solve this puzzle? Sincerely, Ruthann Davis Bell
Greg, It is wonderful that you are trying to track down descendants of the Wesners listed in the Bible. These names don't appear to be in my Wesner family line. I hope someone on the Wesner list has these Wesners in their family. If I come up with any clues, I will let you know. Bob, I am glad that you got the Wesner list restarted. Although not a lot of messages have gone through the entire list, I want you to know that a few of us have now corresponded invidually about our related or possibly-related lines. I don't have anything on your Amy Emma Wesner. Sorry. At least, I don't have info here while in Tulsa. My records are back at my home in Virginia. I can look when I get back, but, I am not familiar with these names. I hope someone else out there has the info for you. Brenda Wesner ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert L.
