I don't have any query at present, but I am placing my family line below: Mathias Wesner (1730 Wuerttemberg-1806 N.C;' immigrated to PA in 1752) and Anna Barbara Giesy (1738 Wuerttemberg -1814 N.C.) Johannes Wesner (1764 PA -1832 N.C.) and Catherina Ebert (1767 PA -1824 N.C.) Jacob Wesner (1791 N.C. -1879 IN) and Mary G. Liston (1801 KY - 1863 IN) Miles Wesner (1827 IN -1881 TX) and Elizabeth Jane Babb (1844 KY - 1933 TX) Jacob Wesner (1875 MO - 1955 OK) and Cora Belle Strealy (1878 KY -1955 OK) then my parents then me, Brenda Wesner
Hi Jo Ann I seem to remember there was alot about Nancy Eaton. Have you spoken to the previous list owner? I think that was his family line. Do you have the info about the village known as WESSNERVILLE, Pa.? There were so many (and the original spelling then was Wessner and Wessener and a few other spellings) that they had their own village. Some REAL land deed searching has never been done on this place and I wanted to ask if you have ANY land records? Good luck, Diane
Hi, First of all my email address changed to mj-clark@sbcglobal.net. Second, I am searching for the parents of Jacob, Judith, and George Wesner. Jacob married Susannah Jolly in Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland and his sister, Judith married George Miller in Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland. George married Nancy Eaton in Bourbon County, Kentucky. Jacob and Judith lived in Funkstown with their parents. I assume George did to. I think there was a sister named Catherine. I have seen on Ancestry.com where people have George and Catherine Wesner of Bucks County, Pennsylvania as the parents of Jacob, David Daniel, Judith, and George. I wonder about this because it looks like they never moved from Bucks County. I would like to find something that gives George and Catherine Wesner as the parents of Jacob, Judith, George, and any other siblings. I am a gggg grandaughter of Judith Wesner and George Miller. Jo Ann Clark Midland, Texas
How nice of you! I am still looking for who the parents were to MAHLON WESSNER b. 29 Nov 1819, Amity Twp. Berks Co., Pa.. Married 06 Feb 1842 in Falkner Swamp Lutheran Church (husband's name spelled Malan) to Mary Ann Fisher, b. 1821, daughter to Jacob Fisher and Rebecca Shenkel. Mahlon and Mary Ann had 7 children: Peter, William Fisher Wessner, John, Jacob, George Fisher, Henry, Emma. Can you all please post to the list...go ahead and send in your Wesner queries...from the looks of the archives it has been a while since everyone has done that....you just may find a cousin! Thanks for the help everyone! Dee Listmom Wesner-L@rootsweb.com

I am sorry to say that I don't have any information to help you. My Wesner ancestors moved away from Pennsylvania in the latter half of the 1700's. I haven't been tracking other Wesners; however, if I do come across anything, I will let you know. Good luck. Diane, It has been quite some time since we communicated, but I did see your message about Wessnerville in June. This weekend I have been cleaning out boxes of "stuff," and while sorting (and throwing out) lots of old, out of date travel info, I found a letter that was written to me in 1976 (yes, 1976). At that time I had been informed that Wessnerville was near Easton, PA, so I wrote to the Chamber of Commerce there. I received a response about the location of Wessnerville. I don't know if you or others have identified its location, but here is excerpt from the letter from Easton Area Chamber of Commerce, dated April 7, 1976, with directions from Easton: "This is in reply to your March 18 letter requesting the location of Wessnerville. It is a part of Kempton. Directions are as follows: Take Rt. 22 West to Rt. 143 North. Follow Rt. 143 North and you should come right to it. Rt. 143 is past Allentown, Fogelsville, and New Smithsville. It may take you 1-2 hours to get there from Easton." At that time I thought it would be fun and interesting to go there, but I never did. Once I realized that my Wesner ancestors didn't live there (moved on south to North Carolina, to Indiana, to Missouri, and then to Oklahoma), I just put the thought aside. But.... it would be interesting to visit there. Emmaus, PA, would be interesting, too, since my ancestors did live in that town before going to N.C. Happy July 4th! Brenda

Friends and fellow lovers of the campgrounds, We have ordered new playground equipment for the Lewis River campgrounds. It includes a bouncy blue whale, a jumpy green frog, two tire swings and a slide. This is really cool equipment and the kids are going to love it!! We just recieved the equipment and now, if we are to have it available for the children for Reunion and camps, we need to get it installed. This will require quite alot of digging, pouring concrete, construction and installation. WE NEED HELP!!!!! You asked for more play equipment for the children, we got it, now we need HELP!!! If one of you would volunteer to take this project on and coordinate it, I would REALLY appreciate it. I am completely out of my element. We can do this in a number of different ways. If you can donate a particular day or afternoon or evening and can get several others to come up with you when it is convenient for you, we can do this in segments. Or we can set a day, hope for as many people as we can get and go for it. Digging the holes and concreting in the posts will have to be on a day separate than the construction. We had treated lumber delivered to build the slide structure and the structures for the tire swings. We will need to purchase the hardware we need (bolts, etc) on Monday. PLEASE consider this seriously and if you have the abilities we need (digging, concrete work or construction) volunteer to help. PLEASE consider overseeing the whole project. Please contact me and don't bother Bernadine at the campgrounds. Thank you so very much. Your sister in Christ, Carol Fender (360) 686-3629 Rrgtyaann@aol.com

I guess all these years, we have been spelling the last name incorrectly. I thought that perhaps the name of the town had been changed...that often happens becuase there never really was an incorporated town by the name of Wessnerville. It just was called that because that family basically owned all the land. However, there is no Stony Run located in the Reading area. There is a Stony Creek Mills and a Stonersville. Now there is a Stony Run northwest of Kutztown. Is that the one you are referring to?? Now about Mahlon...where did you first hear/see the name. He must be someone's child. Do you have a time frame??
