    2. Have some info for you but I tried to send it (YOUR e-mail address at Yahoo doesn't work) but I can't send it to THIS MAILING list. Write to me with your current e-mail please. You mentioned your 2nd Gr Grandfather HENRY KENNETH WESNER as being a son to James and Mary Wesner, but I don't find that name on ANY Census. I do find their sons James and Ephraim (and 3 daughters). Tell me HOW do you know HENRY was a son? Do you have his birthdate and place where he was born? James/Mary still live in Exeter Twp., Berks Co. in 1870. We have to clarify Henry's being a son. 1. Re: [WESNER] James Wesner of Berks Co., PA
    2. Now we're on a track! Can you find out WHAT CHURCH they belonged to? Here is some OTHER Wesner (actually you'll find that name spelled MANY different ways too). I have determined that your Illinois line is NOT connected to mine that I know of, but then, I am missing info on my Gr.Grandfather's own brothers. They were Peter b. 1821 and William b. 1827 in Amity Twp., Berks Co., Pa. My Gr.Grandfather Mahlon Wessner, a tailor in Douglassville, Berks Co. I know these fellows father and mother, but that is where my brick wall is. It's possible that he may be a son of the following people but I have never been able to find ALL of the 5 brothers children, born in Pa. If you get any clues on that, just let me know. There were many WESSNER's that immigrated from Germany in about 1750's and I know you can find them on Rootsweb. Just type in MATHIAS WESSNER etc. And these Wessner's lived in Albany Twp. which is farther North than Berks Co. (I have found it to be a GOOD AID by downloading EARLY County maps of Pa. There are many places to find them. Try Cindy's List:_Cyndi's List of Genealogy Sites on the Internet_ (http://www.cyndislist.com/) I have a feeling that you will tie in your James Wesner with these early immigrants (orginally there were 5 brothers who came to Pa.: Hans Martin Wessner (Wosener) b. Aug 21, 1725 Stuttgart Germ., Johannes Wessner (Wessener) b. Dec 12, 1726, Matthais Wesner b. Feb 20, 1730, Johan George Wessner b. Mar 7 1732 and Johann Michael Weesner (Wessner) b. Oct 10, 1734. (the last two brother were on board the ship Priscilla, arrived in Sept 12, 1750. If I remember, the other 3 brothers came slightly later. And in your research you will find: WESSNERSVILLE, Pa. (but today it's name is Stony Run, Pa.) Other than this info I've given I doubt that I can be of any further help to your James but you find the other people on Rootsweb that has these brothers and I'll bet you can talk with them and they can help you? 3. Hi Diane, Thank you for your reply, I have done some researching on James Wesner but haven't been able to find much. I have found him in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 census in Berks Co., PA. His wife is listed as Mary Ann in the 1850 census, Mary in the 1860 census and Mariah in the 1870 census. Per the Berks Co., genealogical page, the bio on Peter B. Keehn (son-in-law) says that her name was Maria and died in 1885 at the age of 78. So far I haven't been able to find her in the 1880 census, but I am still looking. Per the census, James and Mary (Maria ?) were born somewhere between 1803 and 1805 for James and 1805 and 1807 for Mary. Their ages didn't change by 10 years on each census, in the 1860 census, James only aged 8 years. I would like to find the exact dates of their birth and deaths and where they are buried. The 1860 census listed both of them as being born in Berks Co., PA. That was really nice that they listed the county and not just the state. I would appreciate any help, as I live in Oklahoma and there isn't a lot of PA. information in our libraries. James and Mary's son Henry Kenneth Wesner is my 2nd great-grandfather. He moved to Indiana and then on to Illinois Two of his brothers also moved to Illinois, James and Ephraim and lived in the neighboring town of Varna. Ephraim at some point moved from Varna to Jackson Co., Iowa. Henry was a butcher, and James owned a dry good store and Ephraim worked in the store until he moved to Iowa. Not sure what he did there, and I haven't researched that yet. Several of Henry and Esther's children moved to Montgomery County, Kansas, to Havana to be exact. Thank you and I would appreciate any help or ideas of where to research. Lynne in Oklahoma OhioWeaver@aol.com wrote: Hi Lynn To be helpful, you need to put in some dates.
