Author: Eshafertharp Surnames: McCoy, Wyrick Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.welsh/1345/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Amanda McCoy is my 2nd great grandmother. I am looking for information on her. She was married to a Clarence C. Wyrick on June 15, 1909. She was born around 1881-82, most likely in Allegheny County, PA. She is buried in Coraopolis, PA and died in 1962. According to the 1900 census, she was living as a boarder in Crafton. I have no idea why I can't find her parents. Her birth is registered and then she doesn't appear for another 20 years. After that, she is to find. Who were her parents and why didn't she live with them? Why don't they come in a census? Any tips are appreciated! Maybe she is the missing link you're looking for too. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have been trying to find her, but cannot. I can't even find any information on her, other than what I found in the obituary of her son, Raymond A. Shafer, my great grandfather. He was born in Rochester, PA on Dec. 5, 1913. Delia Welsh married George Shafer, but I have no idea of the day. Also, I know nothing of George Shafer. I have no birth or death dates for either, just that they were married by 1913, and died before 1979. Any tips are appreciated!
