Interesting. This seems to be an extraction from the book referenced. But if this aligns with the book there is absolutely no connection with John Wells & Mary Greenleaf as alleged in the reference I was looking at. But it still would be an interesting family to check for DNA as they do not currently seem to fit with any others we have tested. I see the author, William Frederick Wells, had two children Howard Lester Wells b: 06 Aug 1902 William Henry Wells b: 17 Jun 1906 Does anyone have any knowledge of these two? They may have left descendants (as they are most likely deceased or now 110 and 106 respectively).
