I ran across images of 1884-1938 South Dakota School records on FamilySearch.org (rather than inputting a name to search, scroll down and click on UNITED STATES, then STATE and it will give you all the records they have for a state. On the far right if you see "Browse Images", then you will know that it is not indexed but you can view the actual pages .. not a transcription).
