Wells TALBOT, (Oregon) June 29 1936 Funeral rites were held Saturday at Independence for Emmett Elsworth Wells, 65, who died at his home here last Thursday. Interment was in the cemetery at Buena Vista, where Wells was born. He was the son of William and Cynthia (Vanderpool) Wells, Oregon pioneers and among the first Polk county settlers. Survivors include the widow Amy; a daughter, Mrs Alda (wife of Albert O.) Rosentreter of Oswego; two nieces and two nephews." Newspaper not named on the clipping. Not mentioned is that Emmett had a band at Talbot in 1927. I would like contact from any of Emmett's relatives. Albert Otto Rosentreter was my great uncle and I inherited photos of some Wells through him.Emmett's first wife Carrie was Alda's mother and she went on to marry Joe Bickner of Oswego, OR.
