If you google map Talbot, you will see just across the river a bit is Wells Landing Road. Once there was a small community called Wells Landing (Wells Landing is a Locale in the state of Oregon (county of Polk), located at latitude - longitude coordinates (also known as lat-long or GPS coordinates) of N 44.78568 and W -123.13371. Wells Landing is shown in the center of the topographic (topo) map, which is sourced from the United States Geographical Survey map USGS Monmouth quad. The nearest major town is Independence, OR.).
