However, in 1900 something strange is found. William Wells and family are living next door to three of the descendents of the above John and Lydia Wells in the Walker Co., Texas census. William and his wife (Norsisia Mitchell?) moved back and forth between Dickson Co., Tennessee and Walker Co., Texas, as they were born in Tennessee, their eldest kids were born in Texas, their youngest kids were born in Tennessee, and they died in Walker Co., Texas in the 1920s. This William Wells is certainly the son of Henry Wells (born c1822 in Indiana) and Miriam Stark (born c1831 in Robertson? Co., Tennessee) who were married on April 25, 1847 in Roberston Co., Tennessee by David M. Wells, JP. Children of Henry and Miriam Stark Wells are William Walter, Cornelius F., Ida, Columbus?, Martha Elizabeth, Sarah H., Frances, and Franklin Miles Wells. Henry and Miriam Wells moved from Roberston Co., to Dickson Co., Tennessee in c1865. As this Henry Wells line seems to be completely dissociated with my John Wells line, I am hoping that there may be some information available to connect them. The earliest that John and Lydia Collier Wells can be found is in the NE Arkansas/SE Missouri area, prior to c1815. There is some indication that his father could be John, Jacob, Abraham, or Samuel Wells, all four of whom are sons of Absolom Samuel Wells. Of Clark Co., Arkansas and, earlier, from Kentucky, in circa late 1700's Perhaps these two lines can connect? Perhaps it is simply a co-incidence that William moved to Texas?
