Margaret, Tony, & Vonda, I found the land record in Rowan Co., NC that identifies Dr. Anthony Newnam as the father of Daniel Newnam. I have also found a John Newnan & a John Nunan in Clark Co., IN in 1840. There is also a John Newnam of Davidson Co., TN involved in early Lincoln Co., TN land records. I find it interesting that the name Newnam is associated with two Wells families, as well as appearing to have a similar migration pattern as the DE Wells. Sonja
