    3. Hello, Sonja I don't know whether you have been able to identify the Green Wells referred to in this newspaper account, but I believe I have some information that might be helpful. I looked in an atlas for a Buena Vista in Marion County and found Buena Vista in Marion Co., GA (population 6,406 in 1996). The only Green Wells I have in my database is Green Marion Wells, date of birth 4 March 1831. (Perhaps the middle name Marion was given him for Marion County, which was formed in 1827.) He is listed as the son of Thomas H. Wells and Martha M. Ramsey. Thomas H. Wells was born in Rowan Co., NC on 11 Dec 1794 and died in Gwinett Co., GA on 20 Apr 1847. Thomas H. Wells is listed as the son of Newnam Wells and Rebecca Edwards. Newnam Wells was born in Delaware on 29 Oct 1770 and died in Haywood Co., NC on 10 Jan 1844. Margaret Wells has been successful in identifying Newnam Wells as the son of James Wells and his second wife, whose maiden name was Newnam. Does this data match yours?
