Gordon's family came out of Alexandria, Rapides Parish, Louisiana. His father was William Gordon Wells b: 27 May 1898 m: Octavia Carolyn Coleman. There are 157 Wells listed in Jacksonville so cold calling to find a relative is pretty much out. This family owned a very large plantation in Alexandria, Rapides Parish, Louisiana in the mid to late 1800s. The name Montford was used in several generations. Orin R.
