Hello, Per the Crandall genealogy PETER WELLS, b abt 1715, E.Greenwich, RI, married SUSANNAH CURTIS, b abt 1723, Plymouth, MA. Their daughter ELIZABETH WELLS, abt 1745 in W. Greenwich, RI, , married Peter Crandall in RI. Can anyone give the parents of Peter and/or Susannah and cite some documentation to support the parentage? This can only be one of two Wells families. The connection to the Crandall family suggest to me that it may have been my family descended from Thomas Wells and Naomi Marshall of Westerly/Hopkinton/Wellstown. But the name Peter and the location of Greenwich suggests it was the family of Peter Wells. I will check my records to see if I can identify your Peter. It certainly isn't the Peter Wells who was a grandson of the first Peter via his son Peter. That one married Ruth Slocum. They lived in South Kingston, RI and later Cheshire, Berkshire Co., MA. So if from this family it must have been via another son of Peter. I don't recall a Peter Wells in my family - certainly not that early.
