    3. OK, I have had an exchange with Relative Genetics regarding the Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation coupons for participants. The coupon, as some of us have discovered, is not really a paper coupon. What they send you is a promotion code. DO NOT try to apply this coupon through the Relative Genetics link that is sent to you by Sorenson unless you want to pre-pay for your testing and ONLY then if you are interested in the 26 marker test. They have no web entry available for the discount on this coupon for the 43 marker test at $135. You will have to coordinate through me. What we will do is order the kit from Relative Genetics and I will advise them before they send the kit that you will be using the Sorenson promotion code for the test. They will include paperwork to apply the code, get you into the Wells project (even if you are testing for some other surname or the mtDNA test for maternal line) and pay when you send the sample in for testing. We have a special deal with them for the 43 marker testing that they are not making generally available. If you are participating in the Sorenson Testing (I would like to see EVERYBODY do this) and you have no need for the promotional discount on the Relative Genetics testing, send me the code and I will keep track of them and try to apply them to others for testing in our project. You can also give them to other researchers you know or other family members to be tested for any surname male line or the mtDNA test. The promotion codes are good only for 90 days after they are issued. If you do participate in the Sorenson testing, PLEASE let me know so I can track who all we have participating. I want to make sure they know what good things we are doing for them so they will continue to do good things for our project. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask me. Orin R.
