For the Wells project, we can not use your DNA yet. I don't know when that will happen or even IF it will happen. They (the Sorenson researchers) are still trying to work out the methodology and are not there yet. This is where the more dna samples they collect the closer they are going to come to perfecting this testing. BUT you CAN get your DNA tested as a female for the mtDNA (so can men). This is the unique DNA that is passed down from mothers to each of their children. Only the daughters pass it on because the men don't. It is possible, with some careful genealogy and testing, to use this mtDNA to identify maternal lines. But it is not as easy as the males. And it will not be applicable to the Wells DNA project.
