James was a blacksmith in Perth who died in 1893. Jane died in Perth in 1921. They had the following children: Barbara Lamb Wells, born 1857, who married Murdo Fraser of Balcroy, Nairn, and whose descendants live in Canada; Robert Lamb Wells, born c. 1861; James Wells, born c. 1863; Jane (Jeannie) Wells, born c. 1868; Geroge Ritchie Wells, born March 29, 1870; Peter Kennedy Wells, born March 1, 1872; and Isabella Coventry Wells, born April 8, 1876, who married George Anderson Ford of Perth. James Ritchie Wells was born in Gask c. 1830. His father was Thomas Wells and his mother was Catherine Hutchison.
