    1. Wells women participation?
    2. Jean Barto
    3. Hello-- Although I've been mostly following the Wells-L list for some time, I'm still a little confused on how a Wells related female can participate in the DNA studies that have been recently discussed. A paternal great-grandmother was a Wells, and she died in 1921. My information on her nuclear family doesn't show any brothers for her, but there most likely were some that I don't know about (she was born in 1840 in Upstate NY). I'd have to do some research to find them, and their descendants, in order to find a Wells surnamed living male to contact about the study--and since I'm quite busy with school this semester, I really don't have the time to do that now. So, please let me know if there is a way to get my DNA sample into the mix here. Bonita already has my genealogy info--which I provided to her some time ago. Obviously, if my DNA also *checked out,* that's firm evidence that I'm a Wells descendant! Also, Bonita--if you need anything else from me regarding my line, please let me know. Although I don't have time to do any *new* research, I would be able to fix what I've already submitted to you, if necessary. Thanks, Jean Barto Newport News, VA
