    3. Saralyn: Could you please give use the complete source infomration on the Wells Family History Book .. author, publish date, etc. Bonita -----Original Message----- From: Saralyn Smith [mailto:sosmith@nlamerica.com] Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2006 6:41 AM To: WELLS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [WELLS-L] Columbus Wells The Wells Family History Book does not states where David Francis or Columbus Wells were born but they seemed to have lived all their lives in Liberty County, GA. Their mother was born in North Carolina in 1800 and their father received a land grant in Liberty County, GA for 400acres in 1834. In 1840 the mother was probably a widow since she bought 150 acres on Taylor Creek in her own name. Their mother, Vincey Wells had five children born in Georgia and they lived in the Gum Branch section of Liberty County. This info is from The Wells Family History book. ----- Original Message ----- From: <oenghus@verizon.net> To: <WELLS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 30, 2006 9:28 PM Subject: [WELLS-L] Columbus Wells > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/SCWBAIB/4549 > > Message Board Post: > > Do you know where David Francis Wells, or Columbus Wells, was born? > > Jim O. > > > ==== WELLS Mailing List ==== > To unsubscribe from this list > send the command "unsubscribe" > to WELLS-L-request@rootsweb.com for list mode > or WELLS-D-request@rootsweb.com for digest mode > > > > __________ NOD32 1.1677 (20060724) Information __________ > > This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. > http://www.eset.com > > ==== WELLS Mailing List ==== Since list membership changes, Repost your query occasionally

    3. You are not going to believe this..... There is no copyright, no author, etc. There is a dedication to two ladies in the front and it states they "used their time, talents, authomobiles and loving concern in the search for data for this volume." There is no date of publication either. The last page of the book states: "Printed by THE TATTNAL JOURNAL Reidsville, Georgia 30453" This book was sent to me by Malena Johnson (one of the dedicated ladies) on June 6, 1981. She was an elderly lady then and I think she sent me her only (and her personal) copy. ----- Original Message ----- From: "LadyBonita (USA)" <ladybonita@usa.com> To: <WELLS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2006 1:38 PM Subject: RE: [WELLS-L] Columbus Wells > Saralyn: > > Could you please give use the complete source infomration on the Wells > Family History Book .. author, publish date, etc. > > Bonita > > -----Original Message----- > From: Saralyn Smith [mailto:sosmith@nlamerica.com] > Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2006 6:41 AM > To: WELLS-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [WELLS-L] Columbus Wells > > The Wells Family History Book does not states where David Francis or > Columbus Wells were born but they seemed to have lived all their lives in > Liberty County, GA. > > Their mother was born in North Carolina in 1800 and their father received > a > land grant in Liberty County, GA for 400acres in 1834.
