Wells Funeral services for Robert H. Wells, 71, of Lehigh, are set for 11 a.m. Monday at Hillsboro United Methodist Church. The Rev. R. Laney Kuhn will officiate. Wells died May 14, 2003, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. He was born June 13, 1931, at Cherokee, Okla., son of Howard and Molly Belle (Finner) Wells. On Dec. 24, 1950, he married Margaret Currier in rural Grant County, Okla.; she survives, of the home. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a teacher, coach, principal and superintendent of schools at public schools in Kansas. The couple moved from Lamont, Okla., to Lehigh in 1997. He was a member of Masonic Lodge at Logan and Isis Shrine at Salina. Survivors include three sons, Steve Wells of Springfield, Neb., Jim Wells of Great Bend and Jeff Wells of Chapman; two daughters, Lynn Hilgers of McPherson and Lori Feldkamp of Manhattan; one brother, Richard Wells of Clearwater; one sister, Mary Deardorff of Mulvane; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson. Visitation will be open 10 a.m. Monday until service time at Hillsboro United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in McPherson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hillsboro United Methodist Church and sent care of Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, 222 W.
