Clarksen was the son of Samuel Duncan Wells and Matilda Brunk Wells. Clarksen born in Grayson Co, KY 12-23-1836, raised in Davis Co, IA, and died in Santa Rosa, Sonoma CO, CA 12-17-1912. I have very old pictures from the Wells family album, and have narrowed down a couple who may be Clarksen and his wife, or my husband's g grandfather Philip Wells and his wife Margaret Clark Wells.
