Richmond & Wolf County, in the Township of Melbourne, believe to have been born on Thursday July 11, 1833 (on or about this date) could of been born in Quebec, Canada or England. , Nathaniel Wells died January 2,1905 at the age of 72 years, 5 months, 22 days in Montreal, Quebec. His father might have been Nathaniel too. Archives in Melbourne showed that Nathaniel Wells And Aseneath Hamel were married and registered on Sunday September 8, 1861At a Anglican Church in Melbourne, Quebec Lower Canada. The Census for 1881 Recensement Province of Quebec has his age as 40 years of age. It has Asenath as 38 years old, and having her as being French. We know that Nathaniel & Asenath had kids, Mary Asenath 16, she was born on Saturday, 1st of Oct.1864. Thomas Henry 18, Richard Nathaniel 13, Dona Jane10, Mary Maud Elizabeth 8 born 1873. It also has Nathaniel down as Profession, Occupation or trade: Plaster. We know that Richard married Elizabeth Smith and had no children; both are buried in Richmond Quebec. The Quebec Census for 1891 has Thomas was married to Ellen last name unknown, known children are Ellen Asenath Wells 4, Mary Maud Wells 2. Census of Canada Province of Quebec District No: 187 Richmond & Wolfe In district: Ward 2 Town of Richmond on Tuesday, April 23,1901has Mary Asenath Wells married to William John Ridley he Immigration to Canada: 1885,he was born on Tuesday, 5th of May 1857, in London, Middlesex, England. Their children were Grace Aseneath, born Saturda! y, 28 of April 1888, Mary Maud Elisabeth, born Saturday, 19 of Sept. 1891, my grandfather William Richard, born Saturday, 28 of Dec.1895, George Frederick, born Sunday, 20 of March, 1898, Violet Pearly, Wednesday, 16 of Aug.1899, Lillian Dora Ellen, born on Saturday the 16 of March 1904, Mary Maud Elizabeth Wells died in 1959 she was married to Fredrick J Hall, he was born in 1868 died in 1918, they had a child Jessie M. Hall born 1896 died 1923, she was married to a Sydney A. Field. This is about as much as the Ridley family knows about Nathaniel Richard Wells.
