    3. Thanks for taking the time to answer. They both cost but since genealogy is my only real hobby(except for reading) I pay the cost. I use ancestry.com for the Ancestry World Tree because it is better than genealogy.com for that. Ancestry.com has all the census images indexed while Genealogy.com has only part of them. I think genealogy.com has better marriage records and other books posted. I like their Family and Local Histories better than Ancestry.com. There is an alternative if your library has heritagequeston line. If they do, you can probably access it from your home computer with a library card and a pin number. At least we can do that here in Orange County, Florida. However, heritagequest has only the census images that genealogy.com has. Unfortunately, though the library also has an Ancestry plus subscription, it can only be accessed at the library which I think does a disservice to those of us who pay library taxes. I was told though that was a requirement for them to have the subscription. Heritagequest also has Revolutionary Pensions for some-not all-but a great number. To me, both are worth the cost for the large amount of information I have found. Mary Beth ==== WELLS Mailing List ==== Join Rootsweb http://www.rootsweb.com

    3. Catherine, I subscribe to both programs, too, and it's hard for me to decide which I like better. They are expensive but I have access to them 24 hours per day and I do spend a lot of time using them. Genealogy.com's census images are sometimes better and they do have most years indexed. Sometimes I find what I'm looking for at Ancestry.com and if the image isn't good, I'll go to Genealogy.com. If that year isn't indexed, I write down the page number and look it up that way. Sometimes I've been able to find a census record on one that I can't find on the other. Anyway, I'd hate to have to give up either one. Not much help here, either, is there?
