Coonrod married Elizabeth Edmonston on 22 May 1857 in Schuyler Co., IL. According to my research, I have John being born in Indiana and Elizabeth being born in North Carolina. John J.'s parents were supposedly George W. Coonrod andLavina Harrison both from KY and was one of 11 children born to George and Lavina. Is this the family that you're tracking? How do you know that John was supposedly born in Germany? My notes indicate that this family traces back to Lancaster County, PA, so perhaps that's where the Germany ties in. I apologize for not having more information, but this is a lateral line for me and I have not pursued it beyond the direct lineage. Let me know if I can be of more help. Donna
