Alice Wells Rousseau Clark was my adoptive grandmother. Here is her obituary, in short; contained in the Glens Falls Times Newspaper, Glens Falls, NY. Dated 27 April 1966. Mrs Alice Clark, wife of Howard Clark, of 54 Mechanic St, Fort Edward, died Tuesday at Glens Falls Hospital. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs Fred Shaw and Mrs Charles Ferry, both of Fort Edward; two sons, Howard Rousseau of Hudson Falls; and Archie Rousseau of Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by 3 step-daughters; also a brother John L Wells, of Cazenovia, NY; also 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Interment in St Joseph's cemetery, Fort Edward. Arrangements were handled by the Riley Bros Funeral Home, of Hudson Falls (no longer exists) Bearers: Richard Dorman; Alfred Pelkey; Angelo Catalfamo; Richard Wells, Edward Pelkey and A Stockwell Pelkey. Mrs Fred Shaw is Mildred Rousseau; she died in 1969 and is buried in St Joseph's cemetery Mrs Charles Ferry is Marie Edith Rousseau, who just passed away Wednesday, Sept 20, 2006. She will be buried in Union Cemetery, Fort Edward, Washington Co, NY tomorrow.
