    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Wells Almand Dyer Dyar Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SCWBAIB/4435.1.1.1.2.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Margaret, your response to Jeff caught my attention for two reasons. First, I have other lines in the Old Tryon Co, area along the NC/SC border and often encounter these Wellses in my research. I can't help but wonder whether they somehow connect to my Wellses. The Hambrights are involved. Second, my great great grandfather, Andrew Jackson Wells, married Amanda Evaline Almand (your post surnames mention Almon). The couple was known as Andy and Mandy. Mandy's father, Green V. Almand, was a business partner of Andy's father, Jeremiah Wells b. 1801 in Georgia. Both Green V. Almand and Jeremiah Wells are brick walls for me (ironically, they were in the brick business together in Atlanta). Two of my cousins participated in the DNA project (we are family W338) and they matched each other but no one else. Any ideas?
