Sarah HOLMES married James F. WELLS on 12 Feb 1844 at Monroeville ( a village four miles west of Norwalk). This informations comes from the Reflector paper published at Norwalk 20 Feb 1844. He was a stage driver and abandoned her, so she divorced him in 1850.I guess no children, she is living with her mother(?) on the 1850 census. I am still trying to find if she remarried, and prove her parents, Sarah and Thomas HOLMES. I also run back into more WELLS because of Elizabeth STREETER married Wm W. Wells in 1849.
