Barbara, I am guessing you are new to the Wells list. Welcome to the Wells list. We need to give out this information every once in a while for the new subscribers. When you respond to messages that start out "This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list." You will need to click on the link back to the Ancestry.com message board or the individual who originally posted the message will not see your response. When you do so, your response will be reflected back to this list so we will all still see the responde. Also you will receive a lot of questions posted to the Wells list. They are broadcast to every subscriber not to you specifically so you need not respond to them if you have no information. There are possibly 400 subscribers - I am not aware of the current number. We don't expect everyone will have answers to questions posted. In fact sometimes no one has any answer. But the question will go into the list archives and be indexed on the Wells Family Research Association web site (http://wells.org) for others to find in the future.
