Hi, guys - This is my family. Chester died about two years ago, but he does have two adult sons. Of the people Lady Bonita originally mentioned, Thomas O. Wells and Hattie G. (Morgan) Wells are my great-grandparents. Mildred Wells (still living) is my grandmother. I'm not really familiar with all the ins and outs of DNA testing, but I have considered several times to call the two male cousins (sons of Chester) about testing. One of them probably doesn't care but might cooperate. The other one has always been interested in historical things, especially as they relate to our family, but he's not really into genealogy. How have you worded your requests to people? Even if you knew what you said in past letters, I'd know points to mentioned when I called. Also, Orin, Gordon was a cousin, too, this is all the same Wells line. The family seemed to leave their roots in Louisiana and Mississippi. I see no Chester Wells in Louisiana but there are two in Jackson, MS. Jackson is where Gordon lived.
