    3. I think I have the long-lost Henry/Harry Wells whose parents were Asahel Wells and Nancy Holden of Windham, VT. He was hiding from me in Michigan. Family Bible says he was born 24 Jan 1810 so this fellow looks plausible. Anybody descended from him? In 1850 census of Prairieville Twp., Barry Co., MI: Henry Wells, 40, carpentger, $500, NY Sarah Wells, 38, NY Alina or Alvina I. Wells, 14, NY Ellen H. Wells, 11, Michigan Charlotte S., 8, Michigan Miron (Myron) H. Wells, Michigan George G. Wells, 8/12, Michigan Same place, 1860, they have added son Charles, 6, daughter Ellen Honeywell, 21, is back home, and William Matthews, 73, NY, blind, was living with them. I thought at first William was Sarah's father, but in 1880 we learn that her father was born in CT and her mother in NY. In 1870 they were enumerated in Gilmore Twp., Benzie Co., MI; and in 1880 in Arcadia, Manistee, MI. They must have died before 1900. I would like to seek a will but so far can't find them dying in Manistee Co. The Michigan death index is not complete enough, only 5 counties. So far I have tentatively given spouses to three children: Ellen m. David Honeywell and two of their children were born in Iowa, but they came back to Michigan. Charlotte m. a first cousin, Asahel Nelson Wells, and moved to Floyd Co., Indiana, had 4 children and divorced. Myron m. Sybil ____ and moved to DeKalb Co., AL and had 10 children, with 5 living in 1900. Any help appreciated. Margie in Calif.
