Tx in 1868. His father Marion was born in 1825, Marengo Co. AL and his mother Martha W. Dodrell(one of many ways they spelled it back then) was born in either LA or TX in 1844..I find them in Limestone Co. TX 1880 Census, but have not located Marion on any other Census. Marion was in the Civil War with the LA 19th Infantry, listed as M. Wells. Sorry I don't have more, as you can see Marion is my very big brick wall. Good luck in your researching. Donna
