    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/SCWBAIB/4599.2 Message Board Post: John, checking back in my notes, I find that Samuel's daughter, Sarah, married John Oslin, Jr. In 1809, Greene Co., "Amasa Palmer and Abner Wells witness the 1810 will of William Acres. John Osling, Polly Acres, and John Pattillo executors" placing John Oslin with an Abner Wells in Greene Co. in 1809. In 1813, Abner and Samuel Wells both appear in Putnam Co. tax records. In 1820 Putnam Co. census, Abner (aged 45+) appears next door to George and Elijah Wells (or Wills). I have not been able to locate Samuel in 1820. In 1830 Putnam Co., Abner is aged 60-70, placing his birth about 1765 (vs. Samuel's birth about 1775). By this time, Samuel is in Henry Co. Some of Samuels neighbors of aof lines I can connect to other Wellses. I have a strong feeling that Samuel and Abner are connected. Whether my Jeremiah connects is another matter, but he may. Let's compare notes.
