I would like to see this branch tested so we can sompare it to the others from the family. It might confirm a connection we suspect from another New York Wells family we are sure connects to Peter Wells of Kingston, RI but can not yet prove. There is a mutation down that branch. If it appears in this branch we then can narrow the connection. Please let me know if you succeed in finding a willing descendent who still carries the Wells surname. By the way, there was another Wells family in Kalamazoo at the same time but they have proven by the DNA to be from a different Wells family.
