Thought I could find out who Marion's father was by sending off for his Confederate Service records, didn't work out. I do know that he was born in Marengo Co., AL in 1825, enlisted at Camp Moore, LA into the 19th Regiment Louisiana Infantry, Keachi Warriors, Co. I, the company was desgnated as Captain D. S. Wells, who enlisted the same date of Dec. 11, 1861. D. S.Wells was also born in Alabama, in 1825, I think his father was James and his mother was Sarah Jane. James was from LA and Sarah from Kty. If any of these names ring a bell, please let me know. Marion Married Martha (Dodrill)Daughdrill ??? could be LA or TX , I haven't found Marriage Record I do know that they were in Limestone Co., Texas in 1880.
