I want to thank all who have responded to my query on my elusive 5th ggrandfather, Martin Wells. I have very little info on him as to his parents and siblings. I do not know the circumstances of his death but do know his wife Sarah Merritt Wells was living in 1870 census as living next door to her son Berry Wells and wife Mary Jane Crews. The earliest I show of Martin living in Florida is the 1850 census with his wife and 8 children. By the 1870 census of Bradford Co., Sanderson Post Office, Martin is no longer living as Sarah is living next door to her son, Berry Wells. I believe Sarah may have died shortly after the 1870 census as she is buried in the Crews Cemetery in Union County Florida beside two of her grandchildren, John L. Wells , b Oct 7, 1889, d Mar 9, 1911, and Lillian Wells, b Feb 10, 1884, d Aug 27, 1886. On either side of Sarah are unmarked graves. Perhaps one could be Martin's. Another mystery of the Wells family. My Wells line runs through Berry's daugher, Arsula Julia Wells and her marriage to John N. Kelly. Their daughter, Bertie Lee Kelly married Raymond M. Oliver. Their son, J. N. Oliver is my father. I have seen a picture of Arsula Julia Wells with her husband, John Nathaniel Kelly but am unable to get a copy. I have just begun my search on the Wells line and its connection to my other lines in Bradford Co., which are : Crosby, Kelly/kelley, Oliver, Denmarks, Reddish, Alvarez, and other extended lines. Thanks again, Ellen Oliver Wilson
