I am searching for a Martiin Wells, b about 1796 in North Carolina who married Sarah Merritt. Martin and his wife and family were found in the 1850 census of Putnam County, listing him as age 54 and Sarah as age 50. They had seven sons with the youngest, Berrien Wells, born April 1848 in Florida. Berry Wells married Mary Jan (Blossom) Crews, daughter of Samuel Crews and Mary Johns.
