On Ancestry, when you want to add a spouse that's already in the tree, go to the Profile page of the person you're adding a spouse to, get on the Relationship Page and click on Add a Spouse. You'll be given the option to Add Someone Already in Your Tree. Click on that and everything will automatically be linked. (I'm going from memory here, but the wording is similar to what I posted.)
