We need to have a descendant who still carries the Wells surname and thus the y-chromosome from the Wells family. Once you introduce a female in the tree they bring in a husband with a different y-chromosome. What we would need is a male descendant of one of your great-grandmother's brothers who still carries the Wells name. If you can give me some details on your great-grandmother's family I can check to see if we may have already matched this family.
